Updates

Wow, it has been a crazy 24 hrs! Work is absolutely insane. I manage property, and the owners/developers keep dumping more and more onto me. Not to mention the audits, inspections, etc that are all happening within a 2 week time frame. Just insane working constantly from my office and home.

I hired a cleaning lady, Kelly, to help me with household stuff because it is just too much. It was so awkward showing her the house and specifying that she is cleaning for me and not April or Mike. So, she cleans my areas but only "around" everyone else's crap. If they can pick up their stuff, I'll pay her to clean those areas too. She just laughed and said she understood completely.

And I'm pretty sure my hubby date won't happen. Of course, his truck broke so he'll be working on it all weekend. I am disappointed but not surprised. And I won't say anything or remind him. I'm sure he's got enough on his plate. It seems to always be something, though. I truly understand his truck issue because I've seen it, but I also know how many times he used it as an excuse when there wasn't an issue. Heck, I'm still waiting for my Xmas gift from him in 2017, which was to get my car "Betty" windows tinted. And do you know what I got last year (2018) for Xmas from him...my windows tinted. I just feel unappreciated, like at work, where I am taken for granted for always being there and loyal, so I always get put on the back-burner for later.

Blah, blah, enough grumbling. So, my herb garden is sprouting like crazy! The arugula and thyme were the only ones yesterday. Today, there is also basil, chives, lemon balm, and dill. I talk to them daily asking them to sprout or tell them "good job" for already sprouting. Yeah, I know I'm crazy.

Hmmm, other news. We got April enrolled in Culinary Arts (hopefully) at Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech for next year. We should be getting the acceptance letter next week. And she takes her pre-ACT in 2 weeks so hopefully she'll be able to take a correspondence college class next year in addition to vo-tech and high school. Man, this kid keeps me running non-stop!
